the day was slightly crazy, as we both worked in the morning, i was done at lunch and she worked until 4, and then i had to go back from 7-9. and she didn't know me and a few of her friends had planned a little surprise for her. sarah and i made funfetti dinosaur cupcakes friday night and hung out. earlier this week i planned a little birthday surprise with organizing a few friends and getting amy a hammock! she had been talking about wanting one for a while now and so it was great to surprise her!
I spent the afternoon with the help of Brig who wanted to eat my supplies making a hammock. I used some string and straws to make a little hammock, I wanted something for her to open as the hammock won't be arriving until next week. And then things were slightly crazy, as I was only home for a few minutes once the grill was set up before I had to run to work. But I was home a little afer 9 and once I got home we surprised her with cupcakes and her present. She was pretty excited. And we spent the next few hours sitting outside around the grill/firepit drinking beer and laughing and talking. It was nice, relaxed and a ton of fun.
I can't wait for next weekend when the girls come down from Boston, it is going to be soo much fun!
