may day

One of my favorite days of the year in college was May 1st otherwise known as May Day! It is pretty much a day of drunken nakedness. It was always so much fun, drinking on April 30th and meeting up with pretty much the whole college at 11.45 in countdown until midnight and seeing who the first person it would be to strip down and run around naked. I never participated in the full May Day festivities, but my friends and I had fun drinking and watching the crazy.

As wikipedia says about it:
Washington College May Day: Started in 1968 by Professor Bennett Lamond of the English Department, who retired in 2004. He brought a class out onto the green, where they read poetry and drank wine. Later that night some of the students returned, and May Day was born. Since then, May Day has become a two-night party on April 30 and May 1, often involving public nudity by a percentage of the student body. The event draws many students as spectators.

So happy May Day out there to everyone, hope everyone at college had a great day and enjoyed the festivities. So in honor of May Day and laughing about a fun memories of George Washington statues I've decided to share some of my favorite photos with statues.
