i don't want to leave

i'm leaving connecticut in a few hours. i'm not quite packed yet, and i'm ok with that. i'm pretty much trying to avoid packing. the last week has been fun and i don't want to leave.

also, it is june? seriously? eeeeek! and i've ignored my blog this week.

so my going away party was last night. it was slightly crazy. we decided to have a mix of all the crazy parties that we've had the last few months. so we grilled, had margaritas, played cards, flip cup, stalked at the bar and our boss came! and amanda surprised me with a framed scrapbook page everyone signed and it was just fabulous. we've had a few jokes at work about the different boats and everyone has been signing up for the one we want, and when talking about my boat, i said she would have madras print sails. and amanda found a picture of her, and put madras sails on her! and her adorable kitten also signed it! and the rest of the party was fun, margaritas were fabulous as usual. i'm really going to miss random margarita nights. and flip cup... it was hilarious! especially after our boss showed up and her and i were across the table from each other. so it was a great way to see everyone and really just another excuse for a party!

and catie came to visit yesterday for the afternoon, so it was great to see her :) and we also did dinner on monday night. i'm so glad we were able to get back in touch and see each other so much! and when we walked around work, she just laughed at me for my knowledge and appreciation for boats. which until about 3 months ago i could have cared less about whaling and boats.

ohhh, the funniest thing happened earlier this week. so thursday night, we were working late and we decided to grab burgers and beer, and this turned into a inpromptu party. everyone was over and after we ate, we decided to play apples to apples, which was so much fun. and the boys were trying to get us to take shots, (uuuughhh, not on a thursday night, when we all had work) and all of a sudden the boys are talking about cat food. yes, nick and evan were just grabbing handfulls of cat food and eating it. and nick was trying to get the rest of us to eat it by reading the label. amy is just yelling at them and it was just brilliant. i'm really going to miss the random nights like this.

and friday night was whale wars. now i wasn't around in the fall when they got hooked on it. but i watched a bit of the mini-marathon before and researched online to get the idea. so now i'm excited about it. because omg, hilarious. the sea shepherds are crazy. and then the soup. and danielle fishel, aka topanga from boy meets world has her own show. which i found hilarious, because it is topanga ripping apart pop culture. it isn't as good as the soup, but it is amusing.

so i guess i've put off packing long enough, so hope everyone had a good weekend :)
and i'll be in jersey for the next few days.

Sounds fun! I just played Apples to Apples for the first time a few months ago. It's my new favorite game.

Flip cup is my fav. game to play!!

Whale Wars is SO good. I almost cried watching it.

Also I watch the Dish too and I like it but I think it could be WAY better than it is.

Enjoy your time in Jersey and hit up the beach if you can!
