weekend

a pretty relaxing weekend here... which was nice, but i kinda would have loved to do something a bit more exciting, especially in the evening... but that's my life in new jersey.

the last few days have been fun though :) i had an unexpected phone call on wednesday that led to some good news on friday, i have a trial on monday and hopefully some fabulous news will follow on tuesday... so please keep your fingers crossed for me, this would make me very happy and is something i've been missing a lot. so i've spent some time today and will be spending some time on sunday learning more about the role of women during the revolutionary war...

walk in the woods

and on friday afternoon i went for a nice walk in the woods with erin. we had fun chatting for a few hours about life, teaching, people at our old school, boys and such. so that was fabulous. and it was sooo nice to get outside and just spend some time in the gorgeous fall weather. (em i'd LOVE to do something soon!)

and on thursday afternoon i got a haircut! which i had been sooo excited about. my hair had gotten waaay too long. it was the longest my hair has ever been. and while i do like it longer now, when it is at my shoulders it is driving me crazy! i also changed my color again. i made it slightly darker with a redish tint... i guess it is a chestnut color. but i LOVE the new color!
and i got another new jacket.. i kinda love jackets, and old navy was having a sale on outerwear - 50% off so i went and got another pea coat... $29! even if i only wear it this year, it is perfect for me!

and then today i went with my parents up to west point, ny for an army football game against vmi. my parents try to go to a game every year and it is always a ton of fun! the weather was gorgeous, and it was a perfect day for a college football game...plus army won 29-7! which is always good.
view from our seats... right by the end zone and across from the cadets
halftime - a little presentation and honoring of veterans... the flag was the largest i've ever seen. it was as big as the football field!

so that's been my weekend so far... no major plans for sunday. just cleaning, learning about women in the revolutionary era, and packing for dc... i'm headed back monday night for my last week there!

how was your weekend? any fun halloween plans?
