december is flying by! and i've been so bad about blogging lately. i need to write more often. i really miss writing more and i always think of good things, but then never write them down. but last week was pretty busy, which was nice.
i subbed 3 days this week, and for 2 of them i was in the ag shop. my high school has one of the top ffa chapters in nj and does really well in national competitions too, which i know is kinda funny for new jersey. but tuesday i was the wildlife teacher so i learned how to butcher a deer. hunters donate their deer and they butcher it and it gets donated to a local food pantry. but it was a fun day. i love subbing there because it is so relaxed and they do really cool things.
another fun thing i did this week was head into the city on wednesday with my little brother for his christmas present. we went in to see the exhibit on king tut at the discovery center, which was awesome! we had a fun evening in the city and it was just incredible to see so many things that were untouched for thousands of years. so i really enjoyed the exhibit. and then the brother and i walked around the city and saw the tree and had fun.
on friday night i also went into the city for a hs friend's christmas party. it was a ton of fun and great to see a few girls from high school i haven't seen in years. we drank candy cane martinis (which were delish) and i was up until 4am talking. then i spent most of saturday hanging out with suz and we met megan for an amazing lunch. we went to blockheads for mexican, and i ate sooo much.
and i did a few other random things - finished my christmas cards! yay! and i also went shopping for a few things for europe, including getting a new netbook. i'm gonna be doing a lot of traveling in the next 6 months and i don't want to take my expensive mac, plus it is huge. so i'm trying to figure out how to use windows 7 and just using it before the trip.
and my passport arrived! i was shocked at how quick it was! i got it back on thursday! i mailed it last friday - and it was back with extra pages in 6 days! but now she looks funny. my passport is the older one and the new pages are from the new passport. so she is kinda special. but i'm glad to have her back!
so this week is last minute christmas things and continue planning for eurotrip! 2 weeks!
