so i am probably certifiably crazy.... after working 20+ hour days for 11 days i thought going to a U2 concert would be a good idea... and well it was totally worth it (despite feeling like death) i've been to a few big name concerts (bruce, the eagles, beach boys) and a ton of country concerts (t.swift, rascal, keith, tim, sugarland) and this concert just blew me away. 80,000+ people in a stadium and the atmosphere was unlike anything i'd ever been too. also i went to the concert myself - thought i did meet up with
amanda and her bf and gave them a ride home. but it was fun to go to a concert myself!
u2 was just incredible! i grew up listening to joshua tree (and it is my fav album) and while i've liked them for a long time, it wasn't until i moved to ireland in 2005 that i started to listen to them more. and i still prefer the old stuff, but there is some good newer stuff and well they did a great job at playing a little bit of everything. they played some of my favs - with or without you, i still haven't found what i'm looking for, beautiful day, elevation, pride, city of blinding lights, walk on, one, where the streets have no name and with or without you. and just being in the same place, hearing bono do these songs live. wow. there are no words. the chills i felt through the concert were incredible. but hearing bono sing sunday bloody sunday live - there are no words. i was in such a zen moment with it and ever since i heard it - this has been my favorite u2 song. and finally hearing it live - ahhhhhhh!
anyway soooooo glad i decided to go and even sitting behind the stage my seats were awesome, i was pretty much directly behind and they came around enough and they entered/exited the arena directly in front of where i sat. and the stage/lighting = insanely awesome.

So glad you had such a wonderful time!! They put on the best shows EVER!!! <3 I saw them in Seattle a few weeks ago, and will be seeing them again in Montreal in 2 weeks. LOL. Yes, I am DEFINITELY crazy. Hahaha. You got some nice pictures - the light show is so spectacular. Yay for U2! <3
