the good & the bad

so since my last whiny post i've had a pretty good ten days. i've been pretty busy trying to get things done, seeing friends and trying to get into the christmas spirit.

so let's get the bad out of the way first. last wednesday i got into a fender bender. it was rainy & wet and i was running errands and my car didn't stop in time. luckily there was only damage to my car, so my little colby is in the shop getting a new hood. so that was a rough day as i've already been a little stressed about money but in the grand scheme of things it was a minor accident and everyone was ok. just a bit of a pita on top of everything else.

the really good. i have some contract work right now! my dc job called and offered me to write some curriculum for them over the next few weeks. which is perfect timing as i can't work now and it gives me work i can do and i'm having fun with it. so this is a great opportunity!

and i've had a great social calendar the last week! i got my hair cut last wednesday which i needed like crazy and dyed it a bit redish. i finally saw erin and we chatted about life for about 3 hours! and then i got a surprise phone call from one of my best hs friends friday afternoon and she was in town for a wedding so we met up friday night for a bit and then saturday i went dress shopping with twin again and then spent the night with her & her fiancee (and i'm so excited she picked her dress over the weekend!). And I also spent sunday & monday with jeanne & travis! sunday night we went to see craig morgan & phil vassar do their acoustic christmas concert. and that was a blast. they did a mix of their songs & christmas songs and just had fun joking around with each other while singing. i really enjoyed it! and then monday afternoon i went and tried on jeanne's bridesmaid dress for her wedding. and tuesday evening was spent with my nj zeta sisters!

so my weekend in pennsylvania was great and i was glad i got to spend the weekend with my friends! especially since my surgery is monday and i'll be stuck since i can't drive for a while. but i used my time wisely this week and wrote/sent all my christmas cards and helped my momma decorate. plus i've been reading a lot. i'm kinda hooked on these amish series right now. and i found possibly the best candle ever! red velvet scented candle from target. i am in love!


and a busy weekend ahead. my momma got my sister and i tickets to see lady a tomorrow night in pennsylvania! so excited to see them live again! yay! and on sunday i'm heading into the city to see nyc all christmasy! and then i'm getting fixed on monday! woooo!
