so apparently i didn't have any class this week.
i already knew i didn't have my diaspora class this morning, which was nice to sleep in (especially since i don't feel well) and yesterday kara and i walk over to our seminar class, when the professor was like didn't you get the email? umm, no. oh, we don't have class today. so that was a nice little surprise :) just wish i had know earlier. so kara and i had planned to go out to dinner, and since we had some extra time we decided to head over to the cinema, so we went and saw juno. i loved it. i thought it was really cute and well done. then we went out to the cornstore for dinner. it was so good. the desert was to die for. i had a chocolate rasberry thing and so great. after kara and i were both in a food coma, i felt so full. it was nice to go out and to have a good dinner, we haven't done that in a while :)
got home last night and i didn't feel too well, my throat was starting to hurt, and i was exhausted, so i pretty much collapsed into bed.
last week was good, nothing too out of the usual.
kara and i went to tribes to do some work on thursday afternoon. which was productive.
then we went to mcdonalds for sundae's and people watched for a good hour, it was really funny to make up stories about the people who walked by and we chatted more.
then we decided to go out for a pint - now every time we say this on a thursday night, we always have a crazy night, but finally this week we were able to have a pint and have a crazy night. so we went to the classic, and had to laugh when pat fitz (of your a star, ireland's version of american idol) was playing. now kara and i have had some laughs over him before, so seeing him play was pretty funny. but he was really good :) so we had a fun time there, singing and dancing. then we decided to go to reardon's, and we ran into cian from class. and talked to him for a while. so we were excited to have finally had a good thursday night which was fun, not too crazy and just the right level of drunkeness :)
saturday was fun, kara and i did lennox's for dinner and then watched animal house, which was as always, hilarious.
sunday was a good hike, up to hungry hill. it was an easy hike, which was good, a lot of good conversation and laughs.
i'm excited for wicklow this weekend, should be great fun (i'd better be feeling better!)
monday went climbing, and they changed the green's on the wall. luckily last wednesday i did it! i climbed the green's!! YAY! i was very proud of my accomplishment, because i had worked on it forever! the new greens are a little harder, and i did climb it, but not very well.
so yea, i'm feeling a bit better and i'm just gonna take it easy and read today and relax.
and congrats to my gamma beta's with 26 baby ZTA's!!!! yay!
and the funniest part is two of the girls, are my students, i had them both the semester i was observing, the spring of junior year!

hi erin!!
i know, "whiteness" is such a complex issue. it's hard to even use the word "white" because "white" is so many things. it could be russian, it could be irish, it could be south african ... being white has to mean SOMETHING here in the US, but i don't even know how to put it into words. and i felt so put on the spot!
em told me you were in ireland - i actually just had a study abroad meeting, and i'm totally considering ireland! i had a friend who studied in Cork, but the university that we have a program with is Ulster..I'm not sure where that even is!
are you having an awesome time?? (kelly told me i think awhile ago that you were in love with it!)
Yey for climbing all greens! Congrats!
