hopefully i'm out of my little funk - i think the last few days of sunshine and warm weather have helped and looking at the forecast for the next few days too! i love that is a bit warmer down in dc and spring is totally here bloom wise, seeing leaves on trees and flowers and it just makes me happy. i forget how much sunshine makes me happy (and wearing cute sundresses)
anyway my first week of work went well - training was fun, it was nice to see the transition from what i was doing to now what i'm doing, my team is awesome and i found out today what weeks i'm in the field and those 20 days are going to be crazy and who my partner is and i was happy. i think we will work well together and have fun! i'm excited to start hiring staff in the next few days and just enjoy the regular hours the next few weeks. and here is my cube (i just added more stuff to it today this was from like last thursday) but i got a window cube! yay! it is the little things one looks forward to like having a window!annnnd the house is going well. the guys i'm living with are nice, they are pretty neat and honestly i'm in an amazing location. soooo close to 66 & 50 and it took me 15 minutes to get to the national mall driving yesterday and i'm a 10 minute walk from the metro too. and unregulated parking on my street. i'm loving being on my own again and cooking (though i need to start getting more creative with my meals) but i'm adjusting to not getting home until like 6:30ish. i was spoiled last year with really being done at 3, but staying after most days until 4:30 and then home around 5. i'm lucky though that i'm driving the opposite way for traffic, but it isn't great going that way.
