we signed out lease and moved everything from our cars into the apartment on friday afternoon and cleaned the apartment. saturday morning we were up bright and early to move amy's stuff into the apartment. we both went with the u-box route where u-haul dropped off a box at your house and you fill it and they ship it wherever you want. so saturday morning we were there at 8:30 to transfer amy's belongings into a moving truck to bring to the apartment. and man did i get a workout, amy's box was full and so we had to get everything out - pack it in the truck - move it all into our 2nd floor apartment. but the good news is that after noon on saturday we had everything in the apartment and just had to find homes for everything. (and we get to do the same thing in 2 weeks when my box arrives!) we had a few target runs for the little things we needed and our dining room is currently home to all the empty boxes (that i now need to flatten) and we need a couch. but it is starting to look like a home! i have a few pictures -- but i'm on an air mattress until my box arrives! but it was fun to decorate and put up pictures yesterday and we have a few more ideas too of what we want to do with the place! but it is so nice to have my own apartment!
that was pretty much what i did all weekend -- moved and organized. which i love organizing. and omg - so much storage in this apartment! we both have walk-in closets, a linen closet, a coat closet, a second closet in my bedroom (which is our random storage closet) and then a pantry and tons of kitchen storage. plus we have a sun room -- which we made our study nook. and a dining room which is currently empty (minus the boxes) and i've just never had so much space!
