i've been a little mia the last 2 weeks - but it happens during conferences especially for me in the dc based ones. i wanted to quickly do this post but for some reason my phone wasn't syncing with google photos so i had to wait until i could actually sync my phone with my computer to add the pictures. but it was a great conference session in dc. i had a wonderful birthday and the session was really a reunion for me of seeing so many former coworkers and friends! so yay! so here is the conference according to my photos!

| tuesday: a late night visit to the 4h with annie to see megan! we all worked together last summer! |

| thursday: ohhhh capital hill day! always an adventure! buttttttt i went to get a senate gallery pass from my senators office and while i was in the gallery i saw a vote on trying to end this possible filibuster and in the process saw every senator and heard senators mccain & lieberman speak on the issue. i was in history/politics heaven! |

| thursday: good stuff - it is what i do on capital hill day for lunch. delish! |

| thursday: surprise visit from a college friend! she works in admissions for a local college and they come and speak to our students - i didn't know she was coming - there was a very loud ahhhhhhh! run/jump moment! |

| friday: press panel! one of my favorite events of the conference! |

| friday: nationals game! saying hi to my favorite president! |

| sunday: my favorite cupcakes in the world. baked & wired in georgetown. they got kinda beat up in the box :( |

| sunday: my favorite pound cake on the dinner cruise down the potomac with 270 hs students |
so it was a really fun 9 days in dc with the conference! and i had a blast with my group and seeing so many friends from work, it was great to work a session and just be in dc!
so now i'm in charleston for the next week, packing up the apartment as my lease ends the 25th and going to the beach, still trying to figure out what my next plan of attack for life is as i have no idea. so kinda scary! and then driving home on wednesday for twin's wedding!

Sounds like DC was a blast! And the pictures of that food made me so hungry! haha. I too have been a mess lately about my next plan of attack on life. it's nere racking!!! I hate feeling uneasy. Hope you figure some things out soon!
