chestertown

i am estatic right now.
i am headed down to chestertown wednesday afternoon!
chestertown is the quiet amazing little town were i went to college.
the hayday of the town was seriously during the 1770s and not much has changed.
i am just sooooooooooooooooo excited to see campus.
i haven't been back since my graduation - may 20, 2007.
(ok, that is a lie, about 10 days later as i spent the night in ctown with amy on my way to nc)
and sooo much has changed on campus.
we have a BRAND new (like opened this week) dining hall/student center, theatre (last month), 2 dorms and smaller additions to other things. and i've missed all of this construction.
and the town itself. sam's coffee shop, the mesmerizing fountain (haha), twigs & teacups and all the downtown ness. and of course my second home during college - the river. and the cv star center and just EVERYTHING.
there are no words to describe.

i'm also super excited to see my favorite education professor and i'm trying to meet a few other professors and just to frolic about campus, say hi to george, walk across the quad, think about all the late nights at talbot playing beer pong, the crazy memories from worcester frosh year, living in reid for two years and the st. mary's ridiculousness. and omg, i can't forget the bird! sadly my other favorite bar - andy's isn't there. but i just have a huge smile on my face from remembering the 4 years of amazing memories. from the first day moving into to college to saying my goodbyes to my friends, knowing that we were all heading our separate ways and that who knows when we'll all be together again. but i absolutely love chestertown.

i am just beyond giddy to make the drive down tomorrow :)
eeeeeee!!

and i'm also excited for the rest of the weekend's fun! seeing ash and getting some quality time with her, seeing kathryn and talking about teaching and our fun edblock memories, some dc lovin and then litttttle! it is going to be busy, but i just can't wait!

OOOh fun! Its so crazy going back to your campus and seeing all the changes, and thinking wisely at all the little freshman that WE didn't have all these fancy buildings BACK IN THE DAY!
My school has a new ginormous "fitness center" right where there used to be a big muddy area full of trees. WE never had a "fitness center"! For exercise we just WALKED IN THE MUD!

I am so jealous!! I miss Chestertown and my family a lot right now, I feel like I haven't been there in forever, even though it's only been 3 months. Have a great time and say Hi to the river for me!!
