ahhhhh!

so last four weeks have been crazy. i've been in session and pretty much in a bubble of conference life. i don't have internet in my room so my blogging and reader have been highly neglected. i'm checking my email like once a day and responding to the emails i need to and attempting to just keep myself floating with my personal life.

i've been in dc now for almost a month. last time i wrote it was right after training when i ran the half marathon and now we are in session 3. so so much has happened and life has been crazy. with this job i'm working from 7am to 11pm non-stop teaching about leadership and also acting as a tour guide around washington dc. as crazy as it is i love it. i love seeing these students getting excited abouavt politics, government, history, seeing dc and each week my group when they leave on sunday being sad to leave because they had such an amazing week. but i hate being in the bubble where i barely have contact with friends or the outside world.

i've been lucky. i was originally only hired to work 2 sessions (so i should have gone back to jersey on the 26th but i was asked to work 3 other sessions. so i'm now working 5/6 sessions which i'm super happy about. i was asked to work a 6th but i'm going with amy to charleston, south carolina for a few days in october!

i've been able to take a lot of awesome photos :) and get to play in one of my favorite cities (most times with a few hundred high schoolers though) but i'll take what i can get.

and last weekend was crazy too. i'm off sunday from about 1 to tuesday at 9. and since i am now working more i needed to go home to get a few things and i had a few things to take care of. so i went home to jersey for about 24 hours and it was fabulous. i met up with the cute boy who i recently started seeing before i left - which was great to see him. and also met up with erin for lunch, got a much needed mani/pedi and it was just nice to be home for a few hours. and then drove back down to dc. yay for driving!

this weekend is my little's wedding! YAY! and then another week of conference life. then i'm home for a few days, going to charleston for a few days, in jersey for a week and then back down to dc the first week of november. so pretty much my life is one hot mess right now. but i'm loving it.
