southbound

i'm on a 2 week break from dc which is greatly needed. the last few weeks have been pretty insane with the 85 hour work week and crazy of conference life. and i'm headed down to charleston, south carolina for the next few days while amy looks at grad school down there and i play in southern history. i am so excited. we are turning it into an adventure and taking the train down to sc. which should be interesting, i have a bunch of fabulous chick-lit books ready to read and i must finish the few college recommendations i'm writing for last years students. so it should be fun!

i'm excited to frolic in gorgeous southern charleston! i'm definitely going to fort sumter! and starting off the civil war, and we are going to a plantation outside of charleston and i'm just going to be in love with the gorgeous houses, and still have to pick some more things to do. any advice on charleston?
