holy cow batman

wow! so since sunday i've been in charge of 337 high school students as they've explored leadership in washington dc and i'm doing this until wednesday! and ummm while i knew it was going to be crazy... the levels of crazy that i've seen are even weirder than i could have imagined. i've had very little sleep - sunday night i went to bed at 3:30am and if i get 5 hours of sleep it is a great night!

i've learned lots and been able to do things so far that i've never thought and just need to find a way to describe on a resume the problem solving, calmness, confidence and skills of getting 337 hs students on 7 busses at capital hill while the capital hill police are breathing down your back to move the busses when you aren't sure how many students you are missing. or on your first bus boarding a bus is broken and are there enough seats to fit all the students on the other busses? or how about 15 for minutes before they are needed you realize the paperwork the staff needs hasn't been brought to their classrooms and is in no order. so you quickly figure it all out  - all situations i've dealt with this week so far.

but i'm loving it. i'm really enjoying the challenge of doing this. i like the high intensity and crazy that comes with this job.

and my friend's wedding saturday - so much fun! i can't wait to actually put the pictures on my computer and look at them!

i miss reading all my blogs right now! but things are going well and i'm loving it!
