some motivation please...

So it has been a busy and fun last few days. The weather at the beginning of the week was horrible, seriously I wanted to cry, it was about 45 and rainy. I’m used to the end of May being nice and sunny and finally able to start wearing my skirts and cute summer clothes. I refused to wear a sweater, but I did have my heater on at work, because I was freezing. Luckily by Thursday (my day off right now) it was up to about 65 and kinda sunny, so I ran some errands with Kara in town, and was happy to wear only a short sleeved shirt.

So I don’t know if it is the weather or what, but I have had absolutely no motivation the last few weeks, to do anything. Maybe because I know I need to be working on my thesis? I just want motivation to do anything. I get home from work at 5 and I’m like blaaah, and so starting Monday my goal is to write at least 500 words a day. So that is the plan, because 500 words a day is nothing, and though I like to write in large chunks of time I haven’t had the attention span or time to for 4-5 hour blocks. Also yay for the undergrad exams being over at the end of this week, so I can start to use the library again. I know that is part of my problem, is not wanting to go anywhere near the library because it is crowded and the social place to be.

So I did a lot this week, Tuesday I worked all day, met Kara for lunch, then I just worked on my thesis after work. Wednesday I also worked all day, finally was able to meet up with Sam for lunch. She is as studying abroad this semester and in the club, and we’ve become friends, so that was fun because with exams and traveling we haven’t seen each other in a few weeks. Thursday I slept in, went to the gym with Kara, then we ran errands in town and had lunch. I worked on my thesis for a few hours and ended up going out Thursday night and it was fun. Friday I worked a half day, then Kara and I had a lazy afternoon watching movies.

Saturday was a ton of fun though. I went to the gym and then worked on my thesis for a few hours, I have about 2000 words written. Then I met up with a handful of the club to watch the Heineken Cup Final. Munster was playing a French team and it was a fabulous match. Munsterprovince of Ireland Cork is in. So it was a BIG DEAL. Munster rugby is pretty awesome, as is rugby. Its funny because half of the Irish team plays for Munster, yet the Irish team is pretty bad, oh well. Anyway, the match was awesome. It was really close and Munster ended up winning 16-13. Munster had a really awesome try but they let the French team have the easiest try though but Ronan was in top form kicking the points. But the mood in the pub and city was fabulous. It reminded me slightly of in 2005 when Cork won the All Ireland Hurling Championship. is the

So then I wert home and changed and met Kara and then Carmen, Maria and another Spanish friend for dinner in town. We went to Milano, which was fabulous as usual and then we tried to go out, but Saturday nights in Cork are slightly mad, and with the win, it was even worse. So we went to Rearden’s and it was mobbed, but everywhere was. Seriously I think we were the youngest people out by about 5-10 years. And the 30 year olds are ridiculous, more drunk than the college students and just crazy. We made it a short night, because we couldn’t take anymore.

was good, I met Kara at the gym, worked on the thesis for a bit and then packed up most of my room! I’m moving on Tuesday and working all day Monday and Tuesday, so I figured packing up most of my stuff today would be a good idea. I get my keys Tuesday afternoon from my new landlord and I’ll move my stuff in and get settled and I don’t have to give Elma the keys for my house until Saturday, so that makes it nice. YAY! I am sooo excited to move.

So going to be boring and read and relax before the week starts up again. Hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend at home. Happy Memorial Day!
