Today totally feels like Christmas.
It is the day Sex and the City comes out!!
Now I just need to get through the rest of the work day, before I can see it.
And I'm leaving an 45 minutes early from work to see it. haha.
i normally don't work Wednesday's so I'm working today as a favour anyway.
But Kara and I are soooo excited for today. Like we were giddy yesterday.
We watched the last 6 episodes yesterday to get ourselves excited and the whole time we were like eeeeeeeeeee!
We are going with Carmen and Maria and we are dressing up and then going for dinner and finishing the night at long island for some cocktails. I am sooo excited for a cosmo, but not excited to pay €9 for one. (Makes me miss Thursday nights at Andy's, $3 cosmos and martinis, sitting around eating popcorn and talking with friends) drives me insane about Ireland that mixed drinks are so ridiculously expensive and don't really exist.
YAYYAYYAYAY!
Anyway it is kinda random that it comes out here before it does in the States. It really surprises me, especially with it being such a NY thing, I was mad the premier was in London, instead of NYC and also when I realized that it was opening here before at home, I was like seriously??
Oh well, I am excited. I just hope it is good and they don't mess it up. The last episode is just fabulous, I watched it last night for the millionth time and I still cry. It ended so well, all the girls ended happy and seemed like they grew up. I love Miranda and Steve together, as well as Samantha and Smith, Charlotte finally has her baby, and Carrie and Big. And finally getting to know his name. Just perfect. One of my favourite show endings, like done so well.
I'm also hoping for some good quotes, satc, always has the best quotes.
My absolute favourite is: (and i think it totally summed up the show)
Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.
but i love
Maybe our mistakes are what makes our fate. Without them, what would shape our lives? Perhaps if we never veered off course, we wouldn't fall in love, or have babies, or be who we are. After all, seasons change. So do cities. People come into your life and people go. But it's comforting to know the ones you love are always in your heart. And if you're very lucky, a plane ride away.
Some people are settling down. Some people are settling and some people refuse to settle for anything less than butterflies.
Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they just need to run free 'til they find someone just as wild to run with them.
It would be childish of us to deny that our lives weren't changing. But for this night, none of us were going anywhere. That's the thing about really good friends and a really great Manhattan.
YAY!
Anway, almost done with work for the day. So have a superfab Wednesday!
Haha, I almost didn't want to write today, because for Jan, Feb, March and April my posts per month was 6,7,8,9 and May had 10, but this post made 11. haha!
