It has been a busy busy few days, since I've been back.
Everything on Tuesday was fine with the flight - nothing too unusual.
The man at the check in counter was awesome - he didn't charge me for overweight bags and since all 3 of my bags were over it was pretty nice of him, I just had to pay for the third bag. But I did look slightly ridiculous with all my bags. But the flight was usual transatlanticness. I did cry a little as the flight took off, but that was expected.
It was great to see my Dad when he picked me up. And we drove home, stopping to meet my mom for lunch and since we had some time, we stopped at a few car dealerships to look at cars. I don't really know what I want. I know what I want but not the specific car. I want a 2009 4 door small car with a/c and power windows/locks/doors and I'm looking to spend under about $17,000. But other than that I'm not asking for much. So far I've liked the Chevy Cobalt and the Hyundai Accent or Elantra. I didn't test drive anything because I was on a plane for 7 hours and haven't driven in a few months. So in a few hours I'm headed by myself! to Nissan (I haven't talked to them yet) and then Chevy and Hyundai to test drive and talk some more, so I can talk to my Dad and then we can go again and choose. It is completely my decision as I'm the one who is buying the car and everything, but when I actually do things I'd like to have my Dad there. So any recommendations?
I also got a phone yesterday! YAY! I got a LG enV2 in maroon. Which I like so far. My sister has the older one and likes it. And I wanted something pretty. And my little brother gave me a website to check out where you can upload songs and then create ringtones from them for free. So I've been having fun with that! Any good recommendations for ringtones?
A few things I do love about being home:
.snuggling with the kittens
.buttered rolls and vitamin water
.being able to easily watch american tv
.being on the same time zone with most of my friends
.driving
.country music
.sunshine
Anyway, I'd better get going, looots to do today!

Glad you're happy to be home!! It must be crazy to have to get ready to move again! But I'm sure it will be great!
Aw, leaving places we love is always so hard! But I'm glad that you have this new adventure to look forward to. I've always longed to be on the East Coast for some reason. Anyway, good luck on your next move, and lucky for you, I think EVERY town in the world has at least one Irish pub, so you won't have to look far anytime you want to rekindle old memories.
xx
Welcome back- glad you made it safe and sound! It's probably for the best that you wait to go out on the test drive though. I remember not driving for a few months and then starting up again, and it definitely makes things weird. But enjoy the new-ness of being back in the States!
Yayyyyyy welcome home!!!!
Have fun with your new toy! ;)
Have you looked at Honda Civics or Fits at all? They're a little more expensive, but really good cars. I'm working toward a new Civic evetually.
welcome home! Def. Check out the civic - not the hybrid tho - test drove it and its not really worth the extra 5,000 bucks! My brother just got a Jetta (to replace my old jetta, which finally bit the dust). Nissan makes GREAT cars, i love my XTerra and have had very few problems - my roomie has a Altima and its great as well.
Good luck with the car hunt!!
I've been looking forward to this post! Glad you got home okay, good luck with the transition back.
Whew, you have A LOT going on girl! Glad that you made it safely. Boy am I a little jealous, I do miss the states sometimes! Especially the sunshine!
Good luck with finding a vehicle ;)
We have a Nissan and it's GREAT!
Welcome back! Glad you're adjusting well. Good luck with the car hunt. I always like VW Jettas, but I'm not sure if they are in the right price range.
I so want the enV2, but we have AT&T so no luck there! :(
