so connecticut is pretty awesome.
i got home from work a little bit ago, and i had a great first day!
while it was a long day 9am to 10pm it was a lot of fun.
i had a great time with the kids, learning more about what i'll be doing, and getting the whole process. i'm really excited to get to do things with the next group, and less of an observation. but watching how it is done is great, because otherwise i'd be like ahhhh! but i had fun helping out and doing everything.
this job really reminds me how much i love working with kids, and miss working with them in a fun environment!
so it was definitely the right choice in chosing to come here :)
and in other omg exciting news - i am now helping to coach crew!
amy is a coach for a local team and i'm going to be volunteering when i can.
which i am soooooooooo excited about!
i went to practice with her on monday afternoon and i forgot how much i missed rowing.
it was their first practice for the spring, so it was just getting boats ready and rigging.
so lots of moving of boats.
i'll mostly be working with the coxswains, giving them advice and pointers.
so i am soooo excited to be helping out and getting some coaching experience!
so i am pretty tired, i worked a 13 hour day today and i have a 14 hour day tomorrow.
thank you for tea and coke.
yay caffeine!

It's amazing how the minute you're around something, like the way you were with crew, that it brings back all those old emotions and feelings. Nostalgia's great isn't it?
I can totally see you working with kids- you'll do so well! Connecticut is beautiful- I've never lived there but I love visiting.
Glad to hear that you are liking Connecticut!
