i survived session 1

so the last two weeks have been amazing. my first session went fabulously. my students were for the most part awesome. i loved watching them grow throughout the week, having a ton of fun in model congress, having all my students think i'm crazy, dancing around a little too much to lady gaga and taylor swift, my leadership group making fun of me because i can't snap, crazy bus times, serenading my bus multiple times, and getting to help make history come alive. it was a fabulous 10 days with my students and i was sad to see them leave yesterday. so i was supposed to have 2.5 weeks inbetween sessions, buuuuuuut my supervisor recommended me to work another conference! so i'm back down to dc on thursday where i'll be starting an international version of what i did last week! i'll be split between dc and nyc! which i'm uber excited about :) and then go straight into another national one. so YAY for working this summer and getting to do some pretty awesome things :)

so i'm home for approximately 40 hours, before heading back down to dc. where i have a million things to do, as i thought i was going to be home for 2.5 weeks. but i'm excited to work more and get this opportunity. and as it isn't looking too hot in the teaching prospects so i'm planning on continueing to work these conferences for the fall, which i'm looking forward to, as i really love what i am doing.

and i guess i have another piece of news...
i'm dating my bus partner....
and our supervisor kinda put us on the same bus on purpose because he likes to set faculty advisors up.
so that has made the last 3 weeks a bit more fun too :)
i like him and we'll see where this goes.
