i should be reading, as it is tuesday and i still have about 100 pages to read and notes for class tomorrow.
i enjoy and really like the readings, i just need to be more motivated to do them.
i hate the ucc library.
and they have no books on anything that isn't irish history, which is another reason i don't like them.
they charge you so much for interlibrary loans, seriously, its crazy.
like as a post grad i get 3 free tokens for ILL, but a book is 2 tokens.
and to pay it is €17 for a book.
seriously?
so the book i'm looking for is a key one on female emigration to the US, which i need for the paper i'm writing this term for class, as the bibliography is amazing and also there might be some stuff for the thesis, so i decided to look it up to see how much it was to buy? so i look at abe books and biblio.com and the book is $7 used, great and i decided to spend the $14 shipping to get the book shipped from the US to here. so it was actually cheaper for me to buy this book rather than just ILL it, and with the buying i know it a book that will be helpful, but grrrr.
had a great last week, didn't go climbing last wednesday, but watched the best mountaineering movie ever, ok, so by best i do mean funniest and least realistic movie - vertical limit. so we've been laughing about the movie all week. and then the pub was fab as usual :)
thursday was a fun day. for rag week the mountaineering club was abseiling off the kane building on campus, so it was great craic. it was a gorgeous day too, so that was fun. then kara and i went running
and i received a package from my grandma in the morning with mac and cheese, peanut butter cups, goldfish and peanut butter that morning, so kara and i made mac & cheese for dinner and then she convinced me to go out with her. i really didn't want to as it was thursday of rag week, and town was going to be crazy, but i gave in. and it was fun :)
so friday after work, kara and i met up for lunch and to go into town, and then friday evening i went climbing, the pub was great craic, i met mattias from sweeden who was visiting, (he was in cork, the year and a half i wasn't) and tom was back in town, so it was fun. saturday i read, researched and organized my research, then kara and i watched 10 things i hate about you.
sunday, woke up to a gorgeous sunnnnny day! and again, like 70 people showed up for the hike, ahhhhh. crazyness. i really hope this week there are only like 50, i hate the large groups, the inexperienced people in jeans who complain. the hike was fun, but really easy. the weather totally made me happy though :)
yesterday i worked and read, i didn't go climbing, but i was just so tired and not in the mood to be social, but i imed with amy for a while, because skype was being silly :(
and today is a normal tuesday - work, lunch, class, run with kara, dinner and then reading allll night.

catriona and i on the knocklemna hike... it was soooooooo wet!

P.S. The knee brace does NOT make you look more hardcore...just klutzy.
